Overview
MyTextil needed a storefront that could handle custom print configurations — fabric, size, and design combinations — without turning product pages into a maze of dropdowns.
The Challenge
Print-on-demand adds real complexity to a normally simple product page:
- Every variant combination needed its own accurate preview
- Fulfilment lead times varied by print method and had to be shown honestly
- Order status needed to reflect real production stages, not just "processing"
Approach
We built a live product configurator with real-time preview rendering and wired order status directly to the fulfilment provider's production stages.
- Configurator renders an accurate preview per fabric/design combination
- Lead time estimates pulled live from the fulfilment API
- Order tracking reflects actual print and shipping stages
Before & After
Before
Generic product mockups and a flat "processing" order status.
- Static mockup images
- Vague lead-time messaging
- Single order status
After
Live preview rendering and real fulfilment-stage order tracking.
- Live configurator preview
- Accurate lead-time estimates
- Multi-stage order tracking
Outcomes
Support inquiries about order status and lead times dropped noticeably after launch.
- Configurator engagement became the top pre-purchase interaction
- Support tickets about shipping delays dropped significantly
- Repeat purchase rate improved within the first full quarter
Reflection
Accurate expectations beat optimistic ones — showing real lead times reduced complaints even when those times were longer than customers hoped.
